Severe WX December 29 & 30, 2021 Severe Threat

Last update to the D1 outlook removed the 10% tornado risk. ENH remains for wind risk.

The AL/MS storm near Geiger is actually pretty robust. Wasn’t expecting isolated discrete activity this late in the game, but that one needs to be watched.

Leading edge just passed here NW Jasper, very mild just lots of lightning; hopefully the straight line wind threat is fairly mild given that. Hail to the southwest and probably plenty more spinups to go though

University of Alabama has a big basketball game currently happening in Tuscaloosa. Hopefully that storm entering Greene County does not go tornadic.

Currently sitting at the er waiting because mom just had to come up by ambulance. Don’t know what’s going on with weather. Does northern Cullman county look in danger anytime soon?

Definitely keeping a close eye on that one, low level shear is increasing along its path further east and it remains relatively isolated with a decent meso and good inflow; will be hard to establish many additional storms in there but this one is well established

It's getting hit with some heavy thunderstorms right now but nothing severe warned.

RIght now just looks like a messy noisy line with lots of lightning up that way
