Bah, well I hope it doesn't shut down private courses if Ivey issues it. Looking around it seems to vary state to state.
Small thing to worry about compared to most things right now, but it was how I had hoped to keep my sanity over the next couple months. Not leaving the house, combined with a 2 year old and now a 2 week old, is pushing everybody to the limit in this house.
I suppose for now I should be happy to still have my job, and hope it stays that way.

I agree. Golf is a great outlet during this time. You can easily socially distance yourself especially if you walk or take separate carts. I still sanitize the steering wheel when I get in. Our local public course has required all flag sticks to be left in the hole and has a donut shaped piece of foam in each cup about halfway up so you can easily pickup the ball out of the hole without having to touch the flagstick.Bah, well I hope it doesn't shut down private courses if Ivey issues it. I don't know about that. Yes, the lab was nearby but there is independent video evidence that the bats (and damn near every other animal under the sun) were being sold in the market for months/years before this went down. Furthermore, several governments and independent labs have verified the virus is of animal origin.
So I am going to play devil's advocate for a second. If they were eating these animals for years, why now why does it affect them? Shouldn't they have had an immunity to it since they were already eating them?

While I've quietly listened to the Chinese bioweapon rants (and the far right perform mental gymnastics to tie that into Democrats being evil) it seems quite odd that the Chinese would sequence the genome of their own virus and release it publicly. With our level of genetic understanding I imagine there would be markers indicating genomic manipulation.. that or the Chinese have a deep enough understanding of genetic engineering that they could have manufactured a virus that doesn't impact Asians (or secretly vaccinate Chinese against it years before releasing it).
This middle of the road conspiracy doesn't sound plausible. They would have to be decades ahead of everyone else to perform such a stunt, in which case they could better protect their own people (some would argue why would they even do that?) and in the end, how would this benefit the Chinese anyway? It certainly gives Trump a gigantic opportunity to distract from his record and take advantage of the opportunity to gain support for re-election. I've heard people say they released the virus to settle the Hong Kong riots.
It's just baseless conspiracy garbage. Pandemics happen, infectious diseases happen, and those are way way waaay more likely than the Chinese having made a secret bioweapon virus to kill hundreds of thousands, tank everyone's economy including theirs, in cooperation with US Democrats to defeat Donald Trump for a 4 year election cycle.

If it was released from there I do not believe it was intentional. It very well may have been accidental in nature.

China lied. People died. But I don’t think the virus itself is intentional nor is it some scheme to get Trump out. The cover up until they couldn’t anymore...was intentional.

There was extensive evidence that this was an airborne respiratory illness by Chinese doctors in December. The Chinese government squashed those doctors’ whistleblowing. And the WHO parroted the propaganda fed to them by the communist party of China well into January.

I am by no means a 9-11 "Truther" as people call them. The real truth is that 9-11 took place and was masterminded by radical Muslims.
However, it is quite possible that China did manufacture this virus and that it was accidentally released. SKELLY are you saying that it is not possible at all? Why do you believe that?
