Severe WX April 4th-6th, 2022 Severe Weather Threat

Tree and power line damage reports coming out of Macon County, GA.

Dangerous stuff going on near the GA/SC state line. That cell east of Hiltonia, GA has me particularly concerned.

Yeah, that's one of the more impressive signatures I've seen today. Thankfully it's over a very rural area for now, but it looks like it could ultimately threaten Allendale, which is a larger town.

Observed tornado in northern Bibb Co., there's a CC drop on the north side of Macon. Yikes.

Well, I'm heading to Savannah tonight. The moment we made the reservation, the storms started popping up in east Georgia.

Very impressive supercell...no wonder with the current environment in that area. Will cross the river into SC shortly.

Looks like there's another area of rotation in Burke Co. about to cross the river into SC. Not too far south of Plant Vogtle, but should miss it comfortably. Very few people in that area, but if it holds together into the Barnwell area it could be an issue.

Macon, GA just saw a tornado pass on the N side of town. That's a pretty highly populated area.

The line back in Georgia is really starting to break up now as it's crossing over I-75.

That’s likely a significant tornado approaching Allendale, SC.

Macon, GA just saw a tornado pass on the N side of town. That's a pretty highly populated area.

Yeah, probably some damage there, looks like it's probably not on the ground anymore. It's moving basically parallel to GA-49 now, which is a road I've driven a lot, not much for it to hit until it gets to the Milledgeville area.

That storm near Allendale/N of savannah is going bonkers right now. It's completely discrete and has 400-500 0-1 SRH to work with. Very strong broad rotation on the most recent scans.

Edit: it looks like it's riding some sort of boundary? can't tell where it came from but it looks like an outflow boundary.

Big time TDS just hit Bonaire

Oh no, that's a pretty highly populated area. Bonaire is one of the main suburbs of Warner Robins. Just south of Robins AFB. Very very bad news.

Deep and wide TDS now. Likely an EF-2+ tornado on the ground.

That's only a few miles from where my parents live. Thankfully it's moving out of the populated parts of Houston County and into an area that's uninhabited swamp, but it looks like the damage may be done. There are quite a few subdivisions down there along GA-96 and GA-247, plus the middle school in Bonaire. It looks like it stayed south of the base but a lot of people live down there.

HAZARD...Deadly tornado.

SOURCE...Law enforcement confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.

Locations impacted include:
Allendale, Fairfax, Sycamore, Ulmer, Seigling, Barton and Appleton.
