Yes, this is nowhere near over.

yeah thats a bit strange....

Dynamics aren't great and many storms are right on top of each other. Lack of CAPE. Plenty of shear and SRH. Raining a lot in front of the path of the storms and I think that has offset the greater instability the warm front was bringing in. Really a question of timing. Little more time for the warm front to continue bringing instability in and you have a bit of a different situation. Event is not over, but my focus is now on if any storms get going in South AL where conditions are much more favorable currently.

But you also have a 70 kt+ LLJ that is pumping warm, moist Gulf air into the region. All of central AL south of the the I20/59 area is in a very unstable environment.

And as long as we have storms back in Southern MS and Louisiana moving towards Alabama the risk is still there. We only need the better instability to move a bit more north and it then captures some of the current storms that are tracking towards the BHM metro area. No one should let their guard down.

Okay. I am in Walker County. It reached 70 but has since come back down to 68. I wasn't sure about the warm front still moving toward us, or if we may be in the all clear. Thank you!
