Severe WX April 11th-13th, 2020 Severe Weather Threat

I'm not sure what those worsd really mean but it looks like just normal tree damage to me? i see snapped trees and limbs not really debarked trees. to me, that picture is almost encouraging.
I've seen several posts on twitter showing trees debarked.

TORNADO WARNING FOR...
SOUTHEASTERN MARSHALL COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN ALABAMA...
SOUTHWESTERN DEKALB COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 700 PM CDT.

* AT 624 PM CDT, A TORNADO PRODUCING STORM WAS LOCATED OVER BOAZ,
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

Crossville and Collinsville in the possible path

Given the history of the cell coming into Sumter (its the same one as the trailing twin supercells) and it being on the southern periphery of the rain mass and an unabated atmosphere from Southern AL feeding into it, I wouldn't be surprised to see it try to strengthen again.

Seems like central Alabama has been sitting in rain cooled air, might be okay, still some storms back to the west, but the day time heating will be over.

Yeah not to be too pedantic, but none of the trees in any those pics are debarked. With true debarking, the yellowish inner wood of the trunk and limbs is visible and exposed. None of the pics show that. Just extensive denuding.

if you’d have told me yesterday that at 6:30p the only TORs would be in northeast AL i wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are.
I know what you mean but I guess the temperatures and other ingredients just weren't in place for a massive outbreak in AL today.. The temps took too long to increase and at least in my area the sun never broke through. Now the daytime heating will be gone soon enough.

Seems like central Alabama has been sitting in rain cooled air, might be okay, still some storms back to the west, but the day time heating will be over.

But you also have a 70 kt+ LLJ that is pumping warm, moist Gulf air into the region. All of central AL south of the the I20/59 area is in a very unstable environment.

What is everyone’s take on the risk for West TN now? Jackson, TN particularly.
There is a very knowledgeable poster on here from Jackson & he may not be online atm. To your West most of Arkansas is under a severe thunderstorm watch. This complex of storms is moving East towards you. So, there is the risk of severe storms within the next few hours forJackson. Maybe other W Tenn posters can give you specifics .
