Severe WX March 23-25th, 2023

Interestingly, two of the homes rated 190mph were just (all walls collapsed)…I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before…those two homes must have been really well made and…had they been swept away…and ef5 rating would have been needed without question.

You ever had those days where your mind turns to mush and can't think correctly? I've been there many times (or every day depending on who you ask...)
I've been there this entire week lol. Sold my house and bought my new house and moving. While working. Been extremely stressful

Yup this would make it the strongest since Mayfield 2021.

This is what I was saying about JAN. Their surveys tend to take forever, but that is because they are so meticulous with them. Most WFO's would have said "Looks like we have enough for at least low-end EF4. Ok that's a wrap on this one, moving on to the next.." But if JAN thinks a wind speed estimate can be increased, they will always take their time to find the evidence to prove it. I really do applaud them. More survey teams should function like that.

Rolling fork is hands down in the top ten best surveys of a violent town destroying tornado in the last few decades

Yup. It took them a long time, but that is how it should be. People should remember, next time it seems like they are just endlessly toying with the DAT, wind speed estimate, and rating for weeks, its because they are being thorough. Same thing happened with Bassfield, MS 2020 and Pembroke, GA 2022. Proper surveying is done slowly and meticulously.

Compare this to the half-baked rush job NWS Lincoln did for the Robinson, IL tornado.

Robinson is in contention for the worst survey of the decade so far…and there are still 165mph di’s on that tornado in Sullivan with the tornado itself rated as a 155mph ef3…like bro
