It’s funny to see so many people realize there is no one to protect you when law and order breaks down. I wrote a post here many months back that many people who have not been in a situation where law and order breaks down, tensions are high, and situations that take seconds determine survival, you don’t want to rely on anyone but yourself. I went through it as a young one with Katrina with my family. What we’re seeing country wide is similar to what communities in Louisiana and Mississippi went through (economically speaking) in the aftermath.

I bet some of these first time buyers were anti 2nd amendment not too long ago...

And now we have US Senators clearly committing crimes related to insider trading after receiving top secret intelligence on COVID-19.

Stuff like this keeps up voters will indeed drain the swamp in November and vote out as many Republicans as they can.

Well it really isn't a time for political bull crap that normally goes on in washington. I am glad to see both sides working together for the betterment of the people.

I don't think insider trading is done for the betterment of the people.

Well I wasn't really talking about the insider trading aspect. Unfortunately that happens up there regardless of crisis or not. Only way to stop that is to start prosecuting individuals involved in it. Then maybe it will slow down but probably would never really stop.

Yeah, I figured you just replied to the same message. Martha Stewart would like to discuss that whole “they don’t prosecute for insider trading” idea you have, though.

Where’s Joe Biden? Did he fall off the face of the earth?
His staff is probably concerned that he might get confused and think we're dealing with Swine flu or even Spanish Flu from back in his Cornpop days. Best to keep him from the limelight.

Can someone explain to me why there was "great bipartisan agreement" for this bill just 24 hours ago....and now the Dems block it?

Because the republicans wouldn’t agree to oversight on the 500 billion in corporate bailouts. Republicans wanted less oversight than TARP. Democrats wanted more.
