Severe WX April 12-15th, 2018 Severe Potential

Damage pics coming in are showing moderate roof and siding damage, along with many trees down. Looks like widespread but, not particularly intense damage from what I've seen so far, but it's still early on.

Bad situation unfolding in Amherst, VA right now. Listening to scanner and it sounds like a strong tornado just moved through. Houses are reportedly "completely gone" with people missing.

Just like everyone expected, the supercell of the entire weekend was today in NC/VA. Greensboro and Amherst are probably the two strongest tornadoes of the event. Wouldn't be surprised to see Greensboro rated high-end EF2 or low-end EF3 based on the pictures on Twitter.

The radar loop of that cell is very intriguing, rotating like a comma head mini hurricane with an eyelike reflectivity minimum in the center. No doubt the most impressive storm of this whole event.

This still isn't over. Likely TOG near Blackstone, VA.

Edit: Second tornado developing over the town as the initial tornado continues north. Wow.

The Blackstone northern couplet is EXTREMELY impressive. Tiny little storm, major rotation.
