Random post, but here's some obscure stuff I found from Vilonia:
Slab of a plausibly well-built home that was swept away. Can't tell from this angle if it was bolted or not, but it definitely has sill plating at the very least. The black circle shows where a toilet once was; remarkably, the people inside this home survived by clinging to it as the home was obliterated. They were thrown a short distance, ending up underneath the heavily damaged truck in the background.
What was once a Chevrolet Suburban, mangled into an unrecognizable heap of metal.
And now a fascinating story from the 2013 Moore Tornado:

Jack and Stephanie Haden took shelter in a friend's storm cellar as the EF5 tornado beared down on them, scoring a direct hit on the neighborhood. The debarked trees and scoured grass plastered everywhere give hints to how intense the tornado was in this area. Their friend's house was leveled and Jack's beloved 2003 Mustang was flung into a tree. Total loss, right?
Au contraire! After spending nearly a week and a half digging the car out of the rubble, it started right up... and after some modifications, the "Tornado Stang" was born. In the storm's aftermath, Jack and his friend Nick drove the Stang around town, putting smiles on the faces of people who hadn't done so for nearly two weeks. Truly a heartwarming story of resilience and making the best out of a bad situation.
