Winter Threat January 18-24 do ya wanna build a snowman??

Excuse Me Wow GIF by Mashable

How will that affect the winter storm?
Will be pushing it east, and pushing surface winds out of the north on the back side. Stronger = moreso. So our little impulse that gives us any chance at all at flakes in central Alabama better hurry, before the high will kick all this out.

I just don't see much if anything happening north of Montgomery - MS would have to be lighting up with reports for it to be coming to spread over. No reports at all north of Jackson.

It's not going to come from there, if it happens it will be as the 700mb front pushes in from the northwest and develops as it moves in

I see the vort streak, just not sure it will have enough moisture to work with to get it to the ground.

Not a chance. Hate it, but the high wins.

Of course, right as I say "Not a chance", returns show a band on the NW boundary. No sign of ground truth with it yet though.

I have been driving around Dallas County, South of Hwy 80 and not a single flake. I am thinking of driving south for an hour to find snow lol. Any reports of snow reaching the ground in Camden in Wilcox County? Any chance of a heavier band coming through my area? A lot on radar, but none reaching the ground.
