Winter Threat January 18-24 do ya wanna build a snowman??

Good morning. We now interrupt the winter weather discussion with a message from your friendly neighborhood moderator -

This particular sub-forum you are using is called "General Weather Discussion." We also have a sub-forum called "Politics." If you want to mention weather in the politics forum, that's fine. But please do not talk about politics in the weather forum. Reason for this post - you can call it Gulf of Mexico, Gulf of America, just Gulf, GOM, GOA, or that big ol' warm body of water down there that helps fuel tornadoes...I don't care what you call it. Just don't start a political discussion on this forum that could get ugly. Because if it gets ugly, so will I.

We now return you to your winter weather discussion.

Yep, dry air up this way is doing it's thing - drying things out. Watching my second home (not literally) of New Orleans with glee, though! Can't wait to see all the pictures.

Are you in MS? @Geno Demopolis 27/7 at 11 pm or 43%. My bad, I needed to refresh the screen. That's not bad but others have mentioned how dry the mid-layers are.
I'm in Tuscaloosa. Edit - I was born in Christiansted, St. Croix and lived in FL until very recently. My wife accepted a faculty position at the University of Alabama and I have been freezing to death ever since. I need to change my location I guess.
