Nocturnal intense to violent tornadoes are typically lethal. People should take this situation very seriously.

Yep…. Those are most common in Dixie too. It only takes one, but unfortunately, most people will have to find that out the hard way

I think there's still a couple of wrenches in the system but oh well. Hrrr shows a blob of convection near the Alabama coast, but I don't think that'll effect the Mississippi stuff

Had a feeling they would do it. The recent models point to an intense outbreak likely. Really praying this doesn’t cause widespread damage.

Yep, i reckon we will see the 1st PDS tornado watch since May 26th 2024 today. That event didn't even have this wording lol. I'm waiting for some morning analysis by one of my favorite weather channels. It'll probably start early in about 4-5 hours I'm thinking. So we don't have long until things start rocking

That's wild considering the time of year, currently jackson is sitting at over 500j of sbcape more and likely near 750 if I had to guess, already primed instability wise and the sun isn't up, I think your first tornado watch comes from Louisiana in about 3 hours.

That's wild considering the time of year, currently jackson is sitting at over 500j of sbcape more and likely near 750 if I had to guess, already primed instability wise and the sun isn't up, I think your first tornado watch comes from Louisiana in about 3 hours.

The air is completely saturated in that area. Even with a temperature of 66F and the moisture content in the air along with other insane parameters this could produce tornado families with multiple intense to violent tornadoes.
