Outbreak of the decade so far in the Plains, and it’s not even close for second.

Setting aside survey results and just looking at observed violent intensity, this may be one of the most violent outbreaks (not from a single storm like Pilger 2014) we've had since 5/24/11... definitely for the Plains, but quite possibly just overall.

ANother confirmed tornado for Creston.

Just took a look at a long loop, the track appears to be about 3/4-1 mi west of the first. I've been app chasing for about 12 years and I've never two that close.

Haven’t seen a TBSS from debris since Mayfield.

There was a bit of one (not as dramatic as Mayfield) for a couple of scans with the violent tornado in the northwest Omaha metro today, but it was somewhat masked by a convective cell just south of the tornado getting ready to merge into the updraft. At around the time that was happening, reflectivity in the debris ball was around 70+ dbz and delta-v was 230+ mph, all 500-750 ft above ground level.
