True but we’re getting into a messier storm mode so that might mitigate their ability to continue to propagate. Translate? I can never keep those straight.

True. On the other hand, A lot of these storms have thrived today in a semi discrete mode and may continue to do so for some time.

You know I’ve always said, the Des Moines metro is one of the few densely populated metro areas in the Midwest to never get smacked hard by a tornado. The Winterset EF4 tornado came close though. Anyway, their lucky streak might be ending right now.

It’s wild that people are still doing something that stupid based on one video from >30 years ago. It has to be frustrating for meteorologists/emergency managers to know that that’s the level of weather safety literacy they’re still dealing with.
