Hrrr shows temperatures dropping to freezing in the next few hours for our areas. Not a good thing. I don't want the ground temps to get a head start at getting to freezing. @David in SW Blount @TileDude

Our yard is still clear, but our windshields have ice of them. School was cancelled for tomorrow - which is shocking. LCSD usually waits until the morning of to cancel.
28 with a drizzle. at least something is making it to the ground

We just got bumped up from a winter storm advisory to a winter storm warning here in east Mississippi.
Ick. Drizzle here now too. Still 33. I would be perfectly fine if it decided not to do this.
Well you should get another bump downward as the column cools and gets you to a wet bulb temp. The last push is going to have to be some CAA as well.
It is interesting to note that temperatures south of the Arctic front have warmed up a bit more than forecast today. For example, Anniston is at 57° right now, and the NWS forecast was 50°. It will be interesting to see how quickly temperatures cool later today and this evening.
On the national weather service of Birmingham website on there forecast discussion. If @Gail is correct on the winter storm warning for east Mississippi, I'm more confident a winter storm warning will come for a some more counties in central Alabama.

Currently 37 here. Falling slowly.
Yeah, HRR caught it. Doesn't do much with it though. (also it's early by a couple hours).
