Our 3 1/2 inches here in west Blount has compacted down to 3 with the rain and a good bit of melt is ongoing. No real sign of the rain freezing, which is good. 34 with light rain, melting snow.
The low did end up staying pretty far south.

gonna mess around and get a good snowI couldn't find an actual ruler anywhere in the house, so I made my own snow gauge out of an old license plate.
It's still coming down pretty good here in Madison with temp holding at 29.

What your thoughts on North MS (particularly NE MS) getting good wrap around?Warm nose winning handily now. Now to hope for some wrap around snow from the upper level dynamics. Not totally implausible, but unlikely to make it down into central Alabama I'm afraid.

Looks pretty likely once that warm nose heads east and your winds swing around to from the north. Watch your wind direction to know when it passes. Amounts from wrap around aren't usually all that dramatic. I've hoped for something meaningful out of them many times and been disappointed. But if a band sets up in the right pace, it can add up pretty quick. What your thoughts on North MS (particularly NE MS) getting good wrap around?
What's your source for that image? That looks like a really useful tool!Looks pretty likely once that warm nose heads east and your winds swing around to from the north. https://sdg.mesonet.org/builds/final/win/WeatherScope/LOL - Very old school. WeatherScope from Oklahoma Mesonet. Not even sure you can download it any more. So old its requirements are 512MB of RAM and Windows98. (Runs fine on Win11).
Oh awesome, I'm glad it's still available. I find it really useful. You just load up the different radars and observations you want to see, and then you can save the whole setup as a script for next time. I have a "SouthernWinterWeather.wxscript" script with the various settings I've found I liked over the years for watching these events.
