With precip. moving quickly eastward, and freezing line remaining robust over GA, worried we might get snow then a good bit of freezing rain, versus the previously depicted wintry mix and a bunch of normal rain.I've noticed the HRRR is showing up to 0.1" of freezing rain for the Atlanta area. Considering it showed nothing before, this is a concerning trend. I also notice it's consistently under-done the snow depth. It shows me being at less than an inch, and I have three inches. I feel like that could enhance the chance for freezing rain.
Not zero, but not great. What are the chances of some wrap around to dust Tuscaloosa? All rain now and 33.
Dang, I can't imagine being a kid living in the South and not being excited for snow!I woke up at 6 to snow covering the ground (Tuscaloosa) and was a bit shocked. Tried to get my kids up to play in it and neither of them cared so I went back to bed. This is what it looks like over here now.
just had the same hereJust had a heavy sleet shower mixed with snow. Don't want sleet or freezing rain. I'd prefer to keep power.
