Severe WX Wednesday/Thursday/Friday April 17th-19th Severe Threat

A bit underwhelming when looking at radar velocities. A lot of that isn’t making it to the ground but we some gusts I’d say close to 50 mph.

NWS BMX reports a 53mph gust at Tuscaloosa Airport about 5/10 min ago.

Fayette is about to get pounded. That part of the line is packing some serious gusts.

This has become a big problem, radars going down during severe events, happened with the Macon radar back on March 3rd.
Yeah Robins AFB has a bad tendency to do that (it’s kind of misnamed, the radar isn’t even in the same county as the base).

Brett Adair posting damage near Morton, MS. If you don't already follow him on FB go for it. He always has great content.

Reading through damage reports from BMX and mostly just trees down.
