Svr Wx threat April 1-April 2 2024

Eastern Kentucky tornado watch references supercells along remnant outflow boundary as well as possible intense tornadoes, 70/50 probs.

Since I’m Eastern KY based, I’ll be interested to see just how much of the air mass around Lexington metro can recover by the time of the main event. Looks like recovery is ongoing in Louisville. Lexington has been worked over numerous times since last night, but after this shower complex moves East, it looks to be in the clear for a few hours

Any guess on timing for the Cincinnati metro?
the ongoing convection should be east of town in about 45 mins. my best guess is we'll get a lull for a few hours, and then could see storms start moving in again after 5pm. what happens in those few quiet hours will determine how bad things get.

atmosphere recovery has been pretty quick down in louisville. some locations jumped 10+ degrees in only 90 minutes or less.
There’s some convection forming outside evansville heading to Louisville, maybe it can temper the instability just a hair?
