Significant Tornado Events

Dude, we aren’t insulting anyone. And who is yall? I’m actually trying to be reasonable with you because i’ve been in this same boat and I know how it goes man.
Being called "knuckle-dragger" by Buckeye, whatever that means, and being called clueless and pathetic for saying Rochelle's damage isnt that impressive

1: You’re not pathetic, so let’s get that out of the way.
2: You ARE entitled to your own opinion, and that’s okay. But we want to see very constructive and well thought out responses.
3: Harsh words can be said from time to time. It happens.

Well that certainly explains a lot. I’ve been looking into this specific topic almost as long as you’ve been alive, and I know way more than you about it.

Do you seriously think you’re making a good point here? Like seriously? That is not remotely comparable to the mechanics of a tornado. And for the last time, the most telling thing is that deep grass scouring only occurs near very high end structural damage. It doesn’t matter what can happen theoretically. What matters is what statistically happens in real life. Do you not understand how correlation works?

Still waiting on that bombshell counter example by the way
"Well that certainly explains a lot. I’ve been looking into this specific topic almost as long as you’ve been alive, and I know way more than you about it." Real condescending... "the most telling thing is that deep grass scouring only occurs near very high end structural damage." Very high end structural damage? Rochelle homes are nowhere near very high end, again, at most their 185 mph.

I did provide constructive response before this whole conversation turned into a insult fest with a guy demanding me to striked for having an opposing opinion and being "sock puppet"

Dude, that’s like going to someone more knowledgeable than you and saying “ha ha nice I don’t care I’m smarter” who are you, some comment forum final boss?

With Rochelle there’s room for debate.

My issue is that you are confidently incorrect about grass scouring in real life. All you are doing is throwing out theoretical variables that are supposedly relevant, and I’m telling you that my over a decade of experience allows me to know that they aren’t relevant after years of diving deep into the relationship between structural damage and deep grass scouring. It only happens in high-end EF4s, EF5s, and defaulted lower ratings in which the tornado was suspected to have been extremely violent.

What you aren’t understanding is that saying “well a cow can rip out grass” is irrelevant in the context of tornado damage, and there is literally zero evidence that it frequently happens below high-end tornado intensities. I don’t think it’s linked to high-end events, I know it’s linked to high end events, and you haven’t come up with a single clear real life counter example. You don’t understand the depth, detail, and years of my time I have put into this specific topic.

Still waiting on that counter example btw…

My comment from this morning is very applicable right now…
Now to my main point. I am not a damage expert. I’ve always been more interested in the meteorological aspect of tornados. I do know some aspects of damage analysis. It seems like a reoccurring event on this site that precedes the blow up goes something like this:

1. User sees someone else’s damage analysis
2. User posts that “someone else’s opinion on this site without the detailed context
3. User proceeds to dig their heels in when challenged by other users
4. Rinse repeat
We are on step 3 btw.

Moving on to an actual question, what are other hallmarks of very high end tornadoes, such as lawn scouring?

As much as I disagree with @GrenadinesDes point on grass scouring, the way this forum has been acting towards this individual is really dumb. Go to page 697-8 and show me a clear example of him deserving the insults being thrown at him right now. This individual only defaulted to the “cow eating grass” crap after this stuff began happening. There’s this thing called calmly stating why they’re wrong and providing examples with imagery - that, and calmly explaining why the image that this individual provided of Gary, SD isn’t true grass scouring.

At no point did he insult anyone here, only began retorting after the insults were hurled. This isn’t how you change someone’s mind, this is how you reinforce the preconceived notion of this forum being toxic.

He called me and buckeye jackasses, which is pretty harsh.IMG_2449.jpeg

I'd rather not be described as a crazy commenter for having an opposing opinion on Rochelle.
Uh... dude, not trying to pile on you or anything, but I just got done reading the past four or so pages of this nonsense... and your "contributions" aren't coming off as such, they're coming off as low-quality shitposting.

For example, in the EF scale debate thread you posted "Imo, Smithville isnt even Top 5 of all time, a bunch of aspect of Smithville is overexaggerated and overrated" without posting ANY evidence to back that up whatsoever. In this thread, you've mostly been posting short quips that range from "ground scouring is unreliable because cows eat grass" to "this is scouring from an EF3" when the photo showed CROP DAMAGE, not scouring, and then into "i'm 17, stop being mean".

This is a forum where you're expected to provide evidence to back up your claims, and you've done little to none of that. I mean, that comparison of grass scouring to the eating habits of cows... seriously? Come on. Intentional or not, stuff like that just comes off as trolling.

Anyhow, that's my two cents on the BS. Everyone, please take a breather and calm down. Thank you!
