Nevermind i found itWhere did you got the last 2 photos from?
Source for the photo? So this is the Mobara damage path apparently. Japan's own Grand Island?
Source for the photo?
Because the only photo of the F4-home of the Mobara tornado that i could find was on Fujita's documentNevermind i found it
I wonder if there are any other photos from the F4-home from the Mobara tornado
Informative post and thanks for brining this event to our attention! Definitely solid F3 damage in some of those pics. Structurally I don't see anything that would support an F4 rating - at least at face value, though the home in the second photo could qualify if it was two stories beforehand (European masonry structures don't have to be totally leveled to earn an F4 rating, and structures having their second floors sheared off have been rated as such). That tree damage looks seriously impressive though, especially for Germany.Very interesting thread! Hope this is a worthy contribution.
On July 10, 1968, after sunset, a one kilometer wide tornado moved through the city of Pforzheim (>100,000 inhabitants) in southern Germany. Occasionally there was damage up to F4. Hundreds were injured and two died.
The tornado first moved through the village of Ottenhausen. The fatalities occured here.

In southwestern Pforzheim, a forest was largely destroyed and an industrial area damaged.

The tornado moved directly through the southern part of Pforzheim at one kilometer width. Mostly more moderate damage occurred here. However, there also was strong damage. Hundred of cars were thrown and mutilated.

In the southeastern parts of the city, more severe damage was caused again.

I just saw on the wiki page of Tornadoes of 2023 that on April 28 a tornado in Indonesia killed 9. Do you have any more information about it? In my memory it is the deadliest tornado in Indonesia.Because the only photo of the F4-home of the Mobara tornado that i could find was on Fujita's document
I have my doubts that event was a legitimate tornado. The few damage photos I've seen look more like downburst damage (at least to me) and the only video I could find of the event shows strong straight line winds.I’m also curious about that deadly Indonesia tornado. It happened in late April but there’s not much info on it.
This same tornado caused like 1 km compete blowdown of that forest, and i happen to have aerialsVery interesting thread! Hope this is a worthy contribution.

Maybe it's a tornado embedded in a swath of strong straight line windsI have my doubts that event was a legitimate tornado. The few damage photos I've seen look more like downburst damage (at least to me) and the only video I could find of the event shows strong straight line winds.
