Unwarned TOR right outside of Memphis.
For sureNWS Memphis is dropping the ball. This is unacceptable.
Seriously!!!For sure
If their lack of care for damage surveying is any indication, no wonder.NWS Memphis is dropping the ball. This is unacceptable.
No doubt about it.If their lack of care for damage surveying is any indication, no wonder.
That NWS office is so incompetent.Makes me wish I was in NWS Jackson or Birmingham's CWA. It's something else.
Can't take care of their own backyard, much less the rest of their coverage area. Absolutely unacceptable. Another instance of the city being failed.Makes me wish I was in NWS Jackson or Birmingham's CWA. It's something else.
Even though they rated the Smithville tornado an EF5 they certainly half a**ed the survey.Makes me wish I was in NWS Jackson or Birmingham's CWA. It's something else.
I’m just one county under you, but I’m under Jackson NWS. Overall, they do an excellent job. I’m not sure if Memphis fell asleep at their desk tonight or what…Makes me wish I was in NWS Jackson or Birmingham's CWA. It's something else.
I did not think to take screenshots on my radar. I know for a fact that multiple areas of rotation and a TDS on CC was shown on Ryan Hall's stream, though.@TornadoFan17 do you have screenshots of this unwarned TOR?
Yeah I’m in Tuscaloosa county and still awake out of fear or surprise earlier than anticipated storms. They have been acting too crazy for my likingA strong tornado late at night in Alabama or Mississippi usually never ends well .
Definitely. It should have had a more extensive survey and assessment. Heck, TornadoTalk's Nelson Tucker did a better write up/assessment than they did.Even though they rated the Smithville tornado an EF5 they certainly half a**ed the survey.
They treated it as if it was some small gust of wind. It had some of the most incredible damage I have ever seen. I bet that tornado topped winds of 330 mph.Definitely. It should have had a more extensive survey and assessment. Heck, TornadoTalk's Nelson Tucker did a better write up than they did.
Yeah. They were basically like sorry for your loss. Next. They treated as if it was some small gust of wind. It had some of the most incredible damage I have ever seen. I bet that tornado topped winds of 330 mph.
