you don’t necessarily need a perfectly spaced environment for tornados to drop, however, storm mode is trying to line out in a way.

And those initial spots south of Elk City seem to be dissipating.

Really don't think spacing matters tonight. They'll be powerful whether discrete or not. Don't count on losing discreteness = less strong storms...not tonight.

Embedded supercells yes - but a more linear mode would dampen the “violent” tornado risk in a way

The high risk was for discrete, regenerative supercells.

I think that band of cells is our main show. Especially riding the outflow boundary of the first storm

Just some of the most recent mesoanalysis at 0z. Notice the best environment is *still ahead* of these storms. The VTP is about as high as I've ever seen it and shows that any tornado that can form will likely be very strong.
