He definitely has a good grasp on what he can and cannot intercept with his vehicles. In the videos where he chased 4/27/2011 and caught the Philadelphia tornado, he repeatedly communicated to his team that they weren't getting anywhere near that thing no matter what, and for damn good reason. He's definitely got a little reckless in him, but still rational. You have to be if you want to do what he does.

Well yeah but I also believe he was smarter back in 2011. And I agree you do have to be reckless (obviously with reason) while storm chasing, but I think we can all agree that there's a difference between being reckless and getting annihilated by a tornado.

Ah...i can breath a sigh of relief now that the worst has passed. I'm going to enjoy these next few days without rain chances.

My prayers go out to everyone in Alabama who have been hit or had family members hit by that monster.
