Truly nasty storms out there tonight; might get enough distance for a derecho classification as we're certainly getting the sig wind reports. Seen multiple 90mph tag EDS severe warnings today

Today definitely had photogenic tornadoes I was not expecting and I am grateful for them in open fields. I wish safety for those in harms way of the high winds/storms.

Pete Delkus (chief at WFAA in Dallas) went off on Reed Timmer's hype a few moments ago, saying "not every source needs to be trusted," and that having a Ph.D does not mean you are a good forecaster.

His forecasts have basically become satire at this point. It's crazy he's using his platform to spread so much misinfo and panic
