Severe WX Severe Weather Threat Jan 12th, 2023

To add to it, in this stage of its life it was likely a small in size but intense tornado. Could be wrong, but that's what you get with shallow signatures sometimes.
Your spot on, many ef4 and even ef5s have shown those weak signatures but have been incredibly strong low down. Moore Oklahoma 2013 for example (I think) may have been another one.... Not saying this is ef4 or ef5 though!

Could be a limiting factor in some areas, but southern AL is relatively veered, (BMX and North GA are kinda backed) and moisture is still somewhat mediocre. Also mergers may limit organization for the central AL cells eventually.

New D1 maintains probs, trims threat from the west.

Probably the main corridor of tornado threat will remain the Mongtomery to Calera corridor with the veering further south, best overlap of decently backed flow and meager instability pretty much along the track of those dominant couple of embedded supercells

Marengo county cell going dominant and looking really impressive, though in a radar hole it's hard to tell for sure
