Severe Weather Threat April 1-4

Oh wow, bad driving from chasers? That's nothing new. Remember Stas is Chasing from Winterset? Broke the speed limit and sped through the whole town while he was chasing and nearly ran into people in the process. Chasers need to sort themselves out.

But I don't get why people complain about chaser convergence when you post your targets on social media and don't expect people to jump out for the ride? So many problems with chasers and weenies alike.

AS for today, I'm not greatly interested. QLCS threat in SE KS/NE OK/SW MO, few QLCS tors and maybe a conditional prefrontal in SE IA.

Thanks for update and glad no glass gone. Wonder why that storm never took off fully after nudge but oh well
The storm never went off due to outflow cutting it from the line. It got ingested into the line and then became a pretty impressive embedded supercell that dropped a 60 kt VROT tornado near Preston, IA. It was a intriguing storm while it lasted

I've had to unsubscribe from Max Velocity because he isn't even attempting good faith with his forecasts anymore.
While I'm generally not a huge fan of web meteorologists, I've gotta give Max credit for not putting subtle advertisements all over his stream and using AI like Ryan does. I usually have him on in my headphones while I'm doing yardwork/exercise, and he can provide a good verbal map of what's going on (ie yesterday). No comment on the forecasts because I don't watch those.

When people ask what stream to watch I almost never recommend Ryan (and usually suggest either local YouTubers or Max depending on how large the risk is). Doesn't convey information effectively and places advertisements for Weatherwise all over his broadcasts, to the point where it's hard to listen. Best thing about him is his connections to actual meteorologists (Andy Hill) and chaser feeds.

Yesterday his forecast was calling for a big tornado outbreak and he exclusively used the RRFS model to show how it'd play out. I had to tell YouTube not to recommend videos from his channel anymore. Not going to give him anymore views. Just plain Irresponsible and lazy.

2nd the thumbs up on Andy Hill. He does a great job

His Y'all Watches are usually right on the mark but IMO the bads outweigh the goods with Ryan's channel, so I don't watch him anymore.

I personally have talked with Andy Hill many times before, still have him friended on Discord, and he is um quite the eccentric person outside of weatherland, some of the stuff he says on Discord is quite raunchy and would almost certainly get him cancelled if Ryan's audience gets ahold of his personal life. He is quite anti-AI, and I am personally very pro-AI, so we had a bit of a fight and I left his community a while ago... Regardless I still respect him a lot as a meteorologist- a lot of the Y'all Watches and good parts of Ryan's channel actually comes from Andy, with Ryan being more of a marketing guru.

If you like Andy, I recommend looking up bluekandy on Twitch (that is his furry gay streamer alter ego XD), his Pokemon streams were hilarious.

Though these days I mainly follow Max Velocity, because he tends to be less dramatic than Ryan and also doesn't come across as... sleezy I guess.

Main thing that turns me off to Ryan's stream is breaking into the weather report to thank those that just subscribed or donated to his channel. I know it's a thing for the you-tubers and streamers to do that, but I don't see it necessary if the channel is there to get a breaking weather message out to the public

I mean, these YouTube weather personalities have to make money somehow. It's understandable (not good, but understandable) why Max does those clickbait videos. It's better than having ads on a livestream. To me, some clickbait I can choose not to watch, paired with accurate live streams, is better than streams with an unfunny hype AI bot trying to roast subscribers. We get our forecasts from better sources anyway, not from Ryan or Max.

TLDR: I prefer Max's stuff. Apologies if it's off topic for the thread

I would have included a 2% tornado probability from North/Central AL into Central MS.
