Severe Weather Threat 5/25-5/26, 2024

Since most of the action was nocturnal, obviously haven't seen much footage from this outbreak. Nothing jaw-dropping here or anything, but here's some footage of the KY long-tracker in Eddyville and a video of the Lake of Egypt EF3 that I de-vertical video-ized:

Found the PNS. It's still preliminary. 2 hours on the ground though, wow!

They updated the PNS and the start time is 8:01pm now. That makes more sense.

That's not the first time that a radar in that area's shown debris so high on a non violent tornado. French Lick last year also showed debris over 30k.

That's not the first time that a radar in that area's shown debris so high on a non violent tornado. French Lick last year also showed debris over 30k.

The Colcord/Decatur EF3 tornado is now listed as 3,200 yards wide(1.8 miles-wide). That is bigger than the Greensburg EF5 tornado in 2007.

Another ef3 tornado was confirmed. That makes 12 ef3's in the outbreak sequence since the 19th.

Tim Marshall also said that the Valley View, TX/Pilot Point tornado was around 2,640 yards wide(1.5 miles-wide).

I wouldn't count the ones in 1896 and 1947, since estimates during those times were really bad.
However I do remember a tornado in China reaching 2.5 miles wide back in 2016 or 2017.

I could also leave the other two 1.8 mile-wide tornadoes and that would leave 6 that I know of.
