I think is safe to say that the damage is at least EF4.whoops, wrong time.

Plus based on the DOW data which showed likely EF-5 intensity windspeeds before entering the town.Based on this, I'm inclined to agree

I’m not sure, this seems like it was already pretty bare before the tornado hit.View attachment 27444
Apparently a photo of the pavement scouring, combined with extreme tree debarking.
That's where the tornado first touched down, but Greenfield is in Adair County. That 1 fatality is in Adams county, not sure if same tornado as greenfield?
That was used as an EF5 indicator in Joplin iircManhole covers and pavement reported ripped from the ground in Greenfield.
I doubt this will continue, but I'm glad there has yet to be any reported fatalities in Greenfield. That's where the tornado first touched down, but Greenfield is in Adair County.
If it is rated EF3+, it will record the fastest ground speed ever by a violent tornado, overtaking the 1925 Tri-State tornado.Still haven’t heard anything from the Cambridge, Iowa area. Where the tornado was moving at 85mph
Pilger Nebraska 2014 is that record holder…violent tornado had a forward speed of 94 mph near the end of its life.If it is rated EF3+, it will record the fastest ground speed ever by a violent tornado, overtaking the 1925 Tri-State tornado.
Wind fields weren't as impressive in MO but that can change as shear picks up towards dark if some cells are still discreteThe tornado watch in Missouri/kansas/oklahoma/Arkansas has really underperformed so far.
I’m not necessarily talking from a tornado point of view, the SPC really built up the hail threat and it just hasn’t materializedWind fields weren't as impressive in MO but that can change as shear picks up towards dark if some cells are still discrete
