Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 4/5/17-4/6/17

we are now beginning to see the eastward push on radar the models have been showing. I think this is due to the dry air aloft pushing in...this cause the EML to build along with the low level instability.

You mean the whole system pushing east? Do you think it will get rough today over north al and ga? There sure is a lot more rain over north Ga than I would have expected. Seems to be growing in coverage too. Hoping this might help to limit our severe chances later today.

Convection over north Georgia is now fully junk, nothing severe with it at this point..this looks like the in situ wedging that models were hinting at. Now the big question is how long it lasts..

That storm near atlanta is really impressive about 5k feet off the radar, and could tighten up in the suburbs. Quite worried about this one. @WesL Should this go ahead and go live?
Morning guys. I'll go ahead and activate live mode but we might have to disable it later on if the servers start to show signs of strain. So far we are doing really good on the larger webservers.

Looks like to me it keeps backbuilding in west central ga and streaming NE. Hard to say. Guess it could be good news for Atlanta for now. I think it eventually clears out some, but could lower overall severe threat potentially. Hard to say though.

The warm front is moving into North Georgia. Convection is also lifting North and East. Very warm/moist and unstable air is pouring North out of SRN/CNTL AL/SW GA. This was always forecast to happen. Not saying the warm front won't be slowed in NE GA...but it is currently progressing North.

First tornado warning of the day near Carrollton, GA. That storm has a history of large hail. A lot of cars in Atlanta could have hail damage.

The possible tornado actually tracked from near Franklin/ Powers Crossroads to just north of Newnan to near Palmetto before weakening. Parent t-storm produced a 58 mph gust on one of the shear monitors just south of Atlanta Hartsfield airport

^This. It's 9:30AM. We were never supposed to be sitting on 2k CAPE in North GA by now.

Tornado warning for the city of Andalusia. Looks like the couplet is going to move right over the city.

This has to be an almost worst-case scenario in terms of destabilization. But will the surface winds back enough that far west?
