You also need to have wider updrafts in this situation given the dry slot aloft and strong shear leading to the tendency for weaker ones to get killed by entrainment. So far away from the boundaries, that has not happened.
 
I can't tell if that tornado warning for Jacksonville, IL is for the convective mess west of the city or the semi-discrete cell just east of it. Velocity would suggest if anything deserves it it's the latter, but it's already traversed most of the polygon.

Not saying it's the same event whatsoever, but remember the day of Rolling Fork? Everyone and they're brother were yelling bust, until finally all hell broke loose. Will tonight do the same? Who knows. But a long way to go.
Lol I chased it and caught that tornado. Still the scariest storm I’ve ever chased. Right before it went tornado warning, spc dropped from moderate to enhanced
 
5:33 CDT and one tornado warning in effect in the entire country...for an absolute blob with no discernible couplet.

Edit: Right as I sent the post, new scan on KILX does have a potentially troublesome couplet pretty near Jacksonville/South Jacksonville, IL!
