Severe Weather Threat 4/27-4/28

On a more humorous note, it seems that Max Velocity's chat has been having an argument about how the name of the Missouri town of Versailles should be correctly pronounced (mainly "ver-sails" vs. "ver-sigh"). It caused enough confusion to Max that he ended up declaring that he'll just stick with "ver-sails" going forward.
I laughed so hard when Max tried to pronounce Loogootee in Indiana. He ended up on "Lego-tree"

FTR it is "Loo-goh-tee"

The correct pronunciation is "ver-sigh". The American pronunciation is "ver-sails". Big difference.

I could really take a big fat L here for this OWS convection. It just depends when the cap erodes here or if it even does in the first place
These MO storms are just lurching across the state. Obviously the better parameters are in the Southern IL/KY/MO/TN point, but I just don’t know if there will be any discrete storms left by the time it gets there from the current batch.

Something is really off here.

Fat lady is beginning to warm up on this one (at least for the diurnal portion) if we do not get open warm sector development in the next hour or so. Storms are not forming where they need to be in order to take advantage of the best environment.

if the cap doesn’t break, the pds will be the worse tornado watch issued lol. If it breaks, they might be geniuses. So far their risk have been terrible with a clear boundary south of St. Louis.

If the OWS stays clear those southern MO storms are gonna be crazy long trackers...

The warm sector is still capped per skew Ts. I’m not sure at this point where the cap will go first, or at all, or if we are going to have to rely on surface boundaries for CI.
Not going to say the b word… but it’s entered my mind that the cap may be too much here. This event is going in a really unexpected direction right now, definitely thought there’d be storms by now. Maybe that’s just serious copium out of me though.

This entire event has been bizarre. From the watches and placement, to the current radar/set up.
