Why did they choose to NOT go PDS with this watch? Obviously storms in the area are growing out of control.

Down there sustained storms are more of an unknown, none of these ongoing ones will affect that watch.

Significant tornado now about to impact areas in and around Highland and Cherokee Village Missouri, this is a populated area. Lake Thunderbird could also be impacted by this tornado.

Arkansas still technically but yeah Missouri soon, lots of small mountain towns in there and beam height is too high to know what's exactly going on now

The TDS in the storm south of Mammoth Spring seems to have calmed some since Franklin BUT we're at 11kft beam height, very hard to know if there's something ongoing below that

I don't want to say it's going to be the same as the 1925 Tri-State, but that cell warned by Van Buren, MO seems to be on that same general path. Ellington, Annapolis, etc.

Walnut Ridge up to Mammoth Spring is a gorgeous and scenic stretch of neat little towns in the winding Ozarks foothills, hope the cycle spared those tiny towns through there but with beam height we'll just have to wait on reports

I’m king of surprised they went tornado emergency. It’s in a radar hole, so they couldn’t really confirm the vrot, debris lofted height, accurate velo, and it’s not a highly populated area. Outside of being a visual confirmed warning, what am I missing?
