The radar situation in some of the impacted areas is beyond embarrassing. The number of lives that could be saved with a relatively minimal investment is significant. It causes me deep shame what we prioritize when this is such a simple and affordable upgrade to public safety in this incredibly fortunate and wealthy country we live in.

Why did they choose to NOT go PDS with this watch? Obviously storms in the area are growing out of control.

I’ve been a weather “weenie” for close to ten years. I don’t think I have ever seen this many supercells in one line like this band over Arkansas and MO. The closest thing that comes to mind was the radar presentation on 5/24/2011.

This is just unbelievable with the amount of warnings popping up every 60 seconds and dropping tornados one after the other…possibly significant ones at that. Just no words…reminds me of how bad the 4/27 afternoon was…just in and out of shelter all afternoon. Prayers for all

Those three new tornado warnings north of Little Rock will be the next batch to watch. Not sure they will be quite as prolific as the storms to the north, but time will tell...

And boy, that Northern Arkansas cell is becoming an absolute monster.

Significant tornado now about to impact areas in and around Highland and Cherokee Village Arkansas, this is a populated area. Lake Thunderbird could also be impacted by this tornado.
