That was a pretty nasty leading edge, some sharp and loud gusts and clearly very strong winds just aloft but not to severe limits at the house; some tree debris on the porch and the power went out for a minute or so. I'm sure the apex was way rougher

Not sure but he did 12 hours live while being ill tonight. First time I watched in months and he did have the AI bot doing pop-in info.

Surface obs show some pretty backed low level winds out ahead as the LLJ picks up; with the central and southern part of the line oriented less parallel to the low level flow it's always possible they take on some slightly more discrete or at least segmented structures

Anniston temp/dp went from 59/56 to 64/60 in less than an hour a couple of hours ago.

Yeah that one is very interesting, RAP has a decent environment and it's in pretty clean inflow for the moment; <500 j/kg isn't much but in this setup that's enough
