December would be the very last date I would guess something like that occurring looking at this radar loop.

WFO Jackson posted this about 20 minutes ago, that's a bad thing if they've already been getting calls asking if the event is over. And home in on the last sentence.....

All...I know the southern half has been in a TOR watch for a while and we're in this lull of sorts. However, don't be fooled! Expect the worse for later this afternoon into the evening. New watches will come later or be extended into this evening. The atmosphere is beginning to respond to the main area of lift coming across E TX now...there will be an increase in storms across LA and MS as we move through 2-4p with increasing severe threat. We've gotten quite a few calls from the public wondering if "its over", spread the word that it's not and later this afternoon and evening will be the main show. Again, confidence is at a point that we will see a higher-end type event with widespread warnings and severe reports.
