Did yazoo city ms. Get a tornado that spring ?
Yep. April 24th. I remember it because I was suppose to have a tutoring session that day for English class for some state writing test I believe it was. My teacher called me and asked if we should cancel it or go ahead with it. I told her we would need to cancel it. After that call, she sent out a text and said it was cancelled. Also, 2010 was the year I started doing my daily weather text messages.

Seems like it was a high risk day also .

Yes. IIRC (and please correct me if I get anything incorrect), it was an exceptionally long-track tornado to boot (149-mile damage path).

I looked on spc website back on April 24 2010 which I assume your talking about and just had 30 percent tornado risks let me check again to make sure
You are correct. I was looking at the wind prob instead of the tornado. Tornado was 30% SIG

It was. 149 mile track

I dreamed last night about a tornado barreling towards me in Smithville and in the dream, I was crying and yelling for my dad. I've been shaken up all day over it and this upcoming threat doesn't help any.

It’s going to be ok. You know what to do if a warning is issued for your area. Just be smart and make sure others know. I know you’ve been through what no one should ever experience, but keep the faith.

Hi guys. I post once in a while. Im in west tennessee, north of the i40 corridor. Im ready for some action. Haven't had any in a while. Hoping we get some Monday here. Also, im looking for the maps where it shows the different color lines outlining percentages of ef2-ef5 tornadoes. Percentage of significant tornadoes on the bottom of the map. Need a link if someone will post

Pretty complex setup for eastern Ok here. SPC thinks the storms are going to be elevated and low level shear will be weak even if storms are surface based but most of the cams seem to be latching onto some type of boundary that creates some wild low level shear values over 500 m2/s2. Something I always watch for is the intensity of the helicity streaks and the cams are pretty insistent there will be very intensely rotating updrafts across eastern ok on saturday.
