There was a strong EF3 sometime in 2024, but of course this could be rated higher than that. We’ll have to see.I don't think Michigan has seen a tornado like that since the 70s...
This makes sense. The sun is actually starting to come out again. Might feed atmosphere a little more.Per local Fox affiliate in DFW, cap in NTX is holding but also slightly weakening.
Gaylord, MI - much further to the north than this one, but also it was a wispy multi-vortex that didn't look anything like that tornado. Of course, appearances can always be deceiving, but that tornado that just went through Union City has violent potential without a doubt in my mind. There was a strong EF3 sometime in 2024, but of course this could be rated higher than that. Look at all that debris. This was undoubtedly a violent tornado.
I’m thinking of the one that promoted a tornado emergency in April or May 2024; I can’t for the life of me remember which town it hit near.Gaylord, MI - much further to the north than this one, but also it was a wispy multi-vortex that didn't look anything like that tornado. EDIT: Nevermind, that was 2022.

I was referring to the violent nature of it. Michigan used to get a bunch of violent tornadoes but stopped around 1970, so to see an actual violent tornado in MI is weird. There was a strong EF3 sometime in 2024, but of course this could be rated higher than that. We’ll have to see.
