I could see 165+ on that one house to the left of town. Would be crazy if the first intense+ tornado of the year was an EF4.

Even more incredible that the lake/river on the left side of the photo is still partially frozen.

Really reminds me of the January 7, 2008 Wheatland, WI EF3. Similar environment, similar damage, probably similar intensity.

Back in Michigan, looks like the former tornadic cell has collapsed to a shower just northwest of the DTX radar site. Newer discrete cell is severe-warned and about to go pretty close to Lansing.

Simple, really. If they continue their live severe weather coverage, they won't get advertising revenue.

Better to force people to watch advertisements for the iPhone Eleventeen (or whatever the hell the current one is) than potentially life-saving severe weather coverage.
