Yep, woke me up. Whether we get severe winds or not, the lightning accompanying this QLCS is absurd.

I'm here in the heart of Atlanta and the line is almost here, and we're currently under a severe thunderstorm warning. However, the line looks less robust on radar so here's hoping it's not as widespread with wind damage.

Supposed to push 90 here by the end of the week and currently it's 12 with a wind chill of -20. This system was a beast.

What are the soundings and models looking like this morning on the I-95 corridor? A Moderate Risk is still in effect for that area. At least for western North Carolina and southwestern Virginia it is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and not a Tornado Watch.

A new Tornado Watch is in effect that goes from the NC/SC border to the Florida Big Bend until 2PM Eastern.

This was a total Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency where I live.

Maybe where you are located, but there are a lot of damage reports throughout most of north and central Georgia. Event verified pretty well here.

Today looks more tame than originally expected, so cue an outbreak now that I said that.
