Severe Weather 3/15 - 3/16

I know the SPC maintained the moderate, but this just looks like an even more extreme version of exactly what happened last year on 3/15. All that junk is no doubt going to place a big time limit on today’s threat. I’m of the opinion that this won’t fully verify - not calling for a complete dud, as there’s likely still going to be some severe weather, but it’s absolutely not hitting the ceiling, that’s certain.

I haven't seen any snow fall outside where i'm at. But Columbus did get some earlier this morning.

As for how the weather was last night...thankfully, the worst of the damaging winds missed me. And i'm glad it waited until it had passed my area to start bowing out.

I shall offer this to distract the proverbial March lion, so that the tornado count will stay low like yesterday.

Reporting from between Huntsville and Athens, off Greenbrier Road. It poured snow here for 45-60 minutes or so... I'm not sure exactly when it started, but very heavy snow and blowing sideways. It covered grass, landscaping, and cars at my office.

When your thermos and vertical instability look like this when it’s already 10am it’s definitely a trend in the right direction.
Never want to call off something too early sure, but the writing is on the wall here.
Definitely can still see some spin ups here and there along the qlcs though.
