CAMS were always pretty wishy-washy about it. HRRR changed the timing of an MCS coming into southern WI by about 6 hours in the span of one hourly run yesterday evening (I think it was 22-23Z, but they're already gone from Pivotal, I can only look at the 6-hourly runs from yesterday - 00, 06, 12, 18Z).

09Z HRRR already has a supercell in northern WI at FH01 that doesn't exist in reality.

The heat index in Des Moines yesterday was 126 degrees. Some areas got up to 140. I've never felt anything like it.

TNI is currently +2.5 and we're in a very strong El Nino. This fall's severe weather season could be extremely active in the South. I think this ridge is doing a lot of heavy lifting keeping the jet stream further north than it wants to be.

3 mile wide debris ball, 80kts vrot, NROT maxed out, 65dbz+ debris ball. This is an absolute worst case scenario for any tornado striking a city.

Off-Topic, but the new Gordie Howe Bridge in Detroit opened this morning. I hope officials don’t have to close it this afternoon with Detroit being in an Enhanced Risk today.
