Severe Weather 2025

59 now dead in Texas.
This is now the third-deadliest meteorological event anywhere in 2025, only surpassed by the widely-forgotten Mokwa flood and the European heatwave (which happens yearly so I’m not 100% sure whether it counts).

Sad Season 2 GIF by Friends
It's been awhile since we've such a long duration severe weather season like this. Literally, since March, there has been at least a few severe weather episodes every month. It seems July might be similar.

Staggering death toll, mostly from Kerr County. 21 children among the victims in Kerr County.
I think it would be a good idea if campsites along that river reevaluate there location and consider moving it. It's another disaster waiting to happen if they stay there.

Yea, that was just all-around horrible planning. The same river flooded in the same area in 1986 killing children at a camp; that should’ve been a sign to either move the camp up (if it already existed) or build it away from the river.
