We somehow threaded the needle between a hailer producing 2.00" frozen lemons and a mini-MCS blasting its way southeast through the Atlanta metro. Really weird day, though; felt like a late June day with late June severe weather.

The weather outside doesn't feel like a severe weather outbreak. So this seems weird, like a Plains event. The dewpoints in Bham have actually DROPPED, not risen, into the upper 40s. And the temps never got very warm, which might otherwise offset the lower DPs. So I don't understand why we're having any severe storms at all.

Ensembles are pretty consistent in voodoo land for persistent troughing over the west to take hold after this ridge dissipates. The timing varies between GFS and Euro, but it looks like it could get pretty active again to end April.

I’m sorry but I just don’t see that looking at the models. Looks pretty benign to me. I would expect the actual action to be relegated to the plains.

We had 2 rounds in Guntersville over on Wyeth. Round one was all pea size with some soft nickle size mixed in. Round 2 was more prolific with the pea size with some quarter mixed in.

A little late, but I'm over by Cherokee school, and we had the same.
