Severe Weather 2025

Good lord, the pollen today is HORRIBLE. Just last night there was almost nothing and now it's everywhere. It's so thick on everything that if you pour some water on it, the hydrophobic nature of the pollen grains causes droplets to fall right off the surface you just poured it on, and there's still several layers of it left underneath. Not sure even Zyrtec imbibed the strength of Zeus could help with the allergies today.

Do you have any pictures of what it looks like? We don't get much pollen here in California and this year it looks like the mustard flowers are not going to bloom despite how green the hills are.

Looks like lots of activity is still expected in the Deep South after our potential main event in the MSV and Midwest. There'll be plenty of moisture to work with, all while a potentially historic flooding event will be occurring to the north and northwest.

A severe threat seems probable for the Deep South this coming weekend as a storm system makes a close pass over the region. Euro has also generally been on board with a threat for the Southeast in this time frame. Will have to get through the midweek setup for the MS/TN Valleys first, of course.

We got a SPC outlook for that Day finally.

...Day5/Saturday...
The primary mid-level impulse will begin to eject across northern
Mexico, eventually reaching the lower/middle MS Valley D5/Saturday.
Model differences begin to emerge on the latitudinal extent of the
warm sector owing to differences in the timing/structure of the
ejecting upper cyclone. Regardless, continued southerly low-level
flow will replenish deep moisture over much of the ArkLaTex and
Southeastern US. A surface low and cold front will gradually
intensify across the Mid South, likely focusing severe potential
ahead of it. The intensity of the severe risk will likely be tied to
ongoing storms from the prior Day 4, but supercells are possible
from east TX into the MS Valley and parts of the Southeast into
Saturday night.

CIPS continuing to show some strong values for the Deep South for the late weekend. MS/AL/GA folks should watch this very closely, if this is any indicator.
