Severe Weather 2025

nothing against andrew shearer either but i felt like maybe it would have been more fair with the previous years to only include up to june for 2024 2023 and 2022 since 2025 is half way over with and thankfully peak season is over with too i was going to get into the nitty gritty but didnt really want to type out a big paragraph or essay but long story short i just really feel like it depends on the year itself since it seems like the tornado count is maybe all over the place with that three year stretch i know its all preliminary for this year in 2025 with it either being different with more or less with the tornado count from that three year stretch i guess all of this is me paying attention to the small attention to details or asking questions or etc

I apologize if this has already been posted. I've been busy with work lately and haven't been on here much. Found out this morning that Matt Laubhan of WTVA in Mississippi has let his contract expire. :(
He actually left to start his own media network, Allen must have really struck a nerve with him when they almost lost their jobs a few months back.

Actually I have a spreadsheet on number of 100 degree temperatures for Tupelo (1930 to 2024) and Aberdeen (1899 to 2024) during the Summer months. All this from NWS Memphis Local Climate Data page.

Tupelo:
Years without 100 or above temperatures during the Summer:
1946, 1949, 1950, 1955, 1957 thru 1959 (3 consecutive years), 1961 thru 1963 (3 consecutive years), 1965, 1967, 1968, 1970 thru 1976 (7 consecutive years), 1979, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1989, 1992, 1994 thru 1997 (4 years), 2001 thru 2005 (4 years), 2009, 2013 thru 2021 (9 years)

Aberdeen:
Years without 100 or above temps during the Summer:
1910, 1912, 1916, 1920, 1923, 1940, 1946, 1955, 1957 thru 1959 (3 years), 1961, 1963, 1965, 1967 thru 1969 (3 years), 1971 thru 1976 (6 years), 1978, 1979, 1982 thru 1985 (4 years), 1987, 1989, 1992, 1994 thru 1997 (4 years), 2001 thru 2005 (4 years), 2009, 2013 thru 2022 (10 years)

Forecast looks blistering hot for birmgham, Friday though Tuesday. Not looking forward to it. Atleast I'll be swimming in a pool for the forecasted high of 95 degrees on July 4th
I need some July blizzards or something at this point - the moisture and heat is unbearable. I dunno, maybe I belong in Antarctica?

Honestly, mostly just feel bad for elderly neighbors. Back in the day, summers were pretty rough on the grandparents, so imagine it's not much different for other seniors down in these parts.
