Where did 2011 come from? I don't think it was specified in the post, but this is the tornado count for July 2024 so far.

Man, Šiauliai is just a tornado magnet in Lithuania. The area was hit by an F2 in 2011, an F0 in 2021 and this tornado today. No official rating yet, but appears to have been nearly identical in intensity to the 2011 event.



The cell had earlier produced this multiple-vortex tornado near Pakražantis:

I haven't been following along, but I just talked to a friend who lives in Rome (near Syracuse, rather fittingly) and she said there are tons of trees down and some scattered structural damage from what she saw. Waiting for her to hopefully send some pictures.
