Kinda surprised at the inclusion of WI in that. Soundings off the NAM and GFS for Wednesday are not really impressive. Sure there could be some isolated severe but not worthy of a Day 4 highlight IMO.

There's an enhanced risk for severe weather today in the plains and an expansive slight risk across the central US, primarily for a hatched moderate wind risk and slight hail risk. There are however also low (2% marginal) tornado risks in both the plains and Wisconsin/Minnesota.

MCS Season is well underway this week in Kansas
Been down since June 26th with severe weather in the coverage area nearly every single day since then. Unacceptable
So here's something very interesting and I love finding stuff like this by the way. The preliminary tornado count for June was 224 per SPC. This is more than April (121) and May (199). Since 2000, there's been only 5 years (2014, 2010, 2009, 2005, and 2001) where June's tornado count was higher than both April and May. During the 1990-1999 period, only 5 years as well (1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1998) had more June tornadoes than both April and May. @JBishopwx @Taylor Campbell @CheeselandSkies

Not 100% sure but may have or had a significant tornado on the ground near Two Buttes, CO. Hard to tell due to distance from the radar, but definitely a suspicious CC drop following a couplet for several scans.
Might as well just post this every day until December at this rate

It's like Mother Nature was procrastinating, looked at its watch, realized it missed Tornado Season in the Plains, and is now panickingly trying to catch back up to schedule.
Been debating on staring a thread for the weekend, but I wait and see if anyone else wants to do it

Sneaky tornado threat popped up in northern IL this afternoon. I'm currently in Davis Junction, between Rockford and Rochelle.
