...TORNADO EMERGENCY CONTINUES FOR MAYLENE...ALABASTER...SHELBY
COUNTY AIRPORT AND SOUTHERN HELENA AND SOUTH PELHAM...TAKE COVER
IMMEDIATELY! DO NOT WAIT!

AT 655 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM
SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO. THIS
TORNADO WAS LOCATED 8 MILES NORTHWEST OF WILTON...OR 8 MILES WEST OF
MONTEVALLO...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

Several of the storms appear to be weakening. Any thoughts on this?

My thoughts to everyone effected to my east as we had two tornado's very near me last night damage occured as i assume some of ya'll saw the newspaper articles from Bastrop and Monroe no one killed but still a lot of problems here....

I just heard that the house across the street from where I grew up is destroyed in Pleasant Grove...don't know about my old home place....

Thunder and lightning picking up from the next round. Watching the images come over the media outlets..it's all so surreal. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected.

FFC issuing a TOR for Floyd/Polk county until 9:15. Hook is still in Gasden.

Hunkered down in crestwood basement. Watched skycam on droid of large tornado north of city. Crazy scary
. New respect for nature. Missed here by a few mile
s to the north.

storm in calhoun county has a confirmed tornado and track that will be close to the ghosen church palm sunday outbreak in piedmont.

Jefferson County EMA spokesman says possible multiple fatalities in Pleasant Grove.

Hey Crestwood basement neighbor!

That was eerie. Haven't seen that tornado pee green sky in a few years.

Thinking they may pulse a bit... We haven't had any rain to stabilize the atmosphere since this AM here in GA... Good chance they'll pulse back up soon.
