Huntsville utilities says this is their largest outage since the 1974 outbreak.

Reports coming in that Phil Campbell was "wiped out".

NWS HUN reporting that the main utility line coming out of Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant was cut, and that almost all of North Alabama is without power.

The shoals reporter for waff 48 says Phil Campbell is leveled!!!

About half an hour ago, watched the Blount County storm go over the hill behind my house. We're all OK.

BMX continues Tornado Warning for Jefferson, Shelby [AL] till 6:30 PM CDT ...AT 542 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO. THIS TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR NORTH JOHNS...OR 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF HUEYTOWN...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.

Along with what Tyler said about the scary looking RUC, the forecasted hodograph is now taking a right curve for the general Atlanta area per TwisterData.
